Left Hand Drive

I didn't want to say anything at the time, but if my friends had asked me to drive when we were in Ireland, I would have killed us all. They drive on the left side of the road in Ireland. I thought that was only England. All the cars are manual, and while I know how to drive a manual transmission car, I'm used to shifting with my right hand and not my left. Also, I'm not used to driving on the left side of the road. When I was sitting up front in the car (not driving), at every single turn I would white-knuckle the seat and wait for the head-on collision while we turned from the left lane into the left side of the next street. I couldn't adapt. Throw in shifting, traffic circles, and single-lane roads and it would have been over for me.
