There Is Nothing Better Than Someone Else's Wedding
Two dear friends got engaged over the weekend and I couldn't be happier. A friend wedding is the best kind of wedding. All you have to do is dress up, show up, drink up, and not get into any fights. Success! And since it's not your wedding, where you had to be stressed out about everything in the run-up, now all you have to do is dispense sage wisdom, the things you learned during your wedding. And everyone thinks it's such great wisdom, but if on my wedding day one more person had said, "Remember to enjoy the day," or "Just relax, and look around at all these people gathered together, people who probably won't all be together again until your funeral, and enjoy the day," I would have freaked out and punched someone. Though, to be fair, that last one was good advice.
