Organic Grocer

I was standing in an organic grocery store where busy clerks scurried about in spotless white aprons and thinking about how much I liked the place and how much I'd miss it if I ever moved. I asked one of the helpful employees where I could find vinegar, and in a moment he handed me organic vinegar in a small cloudy bottle that had the slight imperfections associated with hand-blown glass. It cost $9. I laughed out loud before I could stop myself and thought, "What is this? Some joke vinegar bottle they give to people who don't know vinegar is supposed to cost $1 per gallon?" I told the clerk that I was looking for a gallon to clean out my coffeemaker and not using it as an ingredient in a pot of chili I was going to enter in a high-stakes cooking contest. He told me it was the only vinegar they sold in the entire grocery store, and then I found myself making a mental list of all the things I wouldn't miss about the store if I moved away.
