Midnight Awake

It's an irony of life that we lay in bed at 4AM wide awake only to fall back asleep and wake up three hours later dead tired. I just got more rest, I should be even more wide awake now. I'll try to get out of bed and do something productive during that time I'm awake in the middle of the night. I've heard that hour of wakefulness can be seen as the opposite of a midday nap, and you should take advantage to be productive. Not that I ever take midday naps or get anything productive done during that time. I'm too worried that I'll miss that rare moment of twilight when we aren't quite asleep but aren't quite awake, where you're more dreaming than thinking, lost in a train of thought that terminates in pass-out land.
