We've lost power the last few days, but oddly enough very little of the ice in our freezer has melted. Freezer efficiency is shocking. I open the freezer door every once in a while just to make sure ice is still in there. I've never been through a hurricane before, and considering the scope of devastation, it wasn't too bad for me. Not much rain, not much wind, and when power went out we were still able to play cards by candlelight. The next day we went out to observe the aftermath mayhem. I hope people who made the bad decision not to move their cars out of the floodplain made the wise decision to ensure their car insurance was paid up.
