It's annoying when a new person starts at work and they dress really nicely every day. It's like, "Look pal, I've worked to systematically lower the expectations of dress in this office for years. I don't need you showing up and rebalancing the power curve." Wear jeans every day of the week? Done. Wear the same pair of jeans every day of the week? Done that, too. Then some guy starts walking around the office wearing ties and blazers every day and all of the sudden I start looking pretty shabby. Hopefully he comes around and tones it down a bit, but until then I just have to make sure I never sit next to him in a meeting.
