My new driver's license arrived the other day. I decided to get a new photo on it since my last photo looked like the photographer chose to punch me in face rather than shout "smile" before pressing the shutter. My photo in my new ID isn't much better, but I like it because I had a beard when they took the shot. Only now when I shave I won't look anything like the guy in my photo, which could be problematic for TSA agents and aggressive bouncers. Though, if I'm being honest, I don't mind the extra hassle if it means I always get to carry around a little picture of me with a beard. If I'd been thinking when I went in for the photo I would have shaved my beard into a mustache.
