Comfort Zone

People say it's good to get out of your comfort zone from time to time. I found myself wondering why that might be true. They say it's to broaden your horizons, expand your life by trying new things. But I wonder at the point of trying new things, after all, if you're in your comfort zone, then maybe the things you're doing are just right. Then again I also wonder at the value of having really great experiences as a young child, since I think they'll set you up for disappointment later in life, and I also sometimes think Mr. Rogers ruined an entire generation of kids by making them think they're special, so you're better off not listening to my ruminations. Go ahead, get out of your comfort zone. I will, too. Maybe today I'll try eating black licorice. I can already feel my world growing larger.
