Health is Wealth

There's never a convenient time to get sick. In theory, vacation would be the best time since you wouldn't miss any work, but of course that would also be the very worst time to get sick since you're supposed to be enjoying vacation. Besides, most people I know still check work email when they're on vacation, so you'd be using your bit of energy to work while traveling anyway. I don't know why, but I always get sick during the shoulder seasons--spring into summer and fall into winter. People say it's due to the change in temperature, but if that were true I'd get sick all winter since I go from the comfort of indoor heating to outdoor windy, freezing settings. The only good thing about being sick is that it makes you value health. At least for a few days after getting better, then you forget about it again until you're shivering and sweaty six months later.
