Ring Eccentricities

I got married a few weeks ago and started wearing a ring. It's the first time I've ever worn a ring, and I've been surprised that some people have noticed and commented on it. Not once in my life have I ever noticed if a man or a woman was wearing a wedding ring, so I assumed no one else paid attention. I'm on the fence about the ring since I'm not a fan of rings in general. I don't have a problem with the commitment or what the ring means, my issues are with the ring itself. If I did have a problem with the symbolism of the ring, I would have started wearing them on all my fingers the day after I got married. That way people would only assume I've turned a bit eccentric instead of gotten married.
