After a long break I started playing Words With Friends again. It's a Scrabble-style game that you play against friends or random people over your smartphone. I lose more often than I win, but it doesn't really bother me. I think it's like most things in that the more you play the better you get, and I don't play that often. Plus, it's super easy to cheat at the game. In fact, just behind Words With Friends in terms of sales is an app called Cheats With Friends, which examines your board and letters and tells you all the words you can play. I do not cheat, though I'm sure that many, many of the random people who beat me are cheating. So even when I lose to them, it's a moral victory. With this kind of self-serving outlook it's impossible to lose. (If you want a game, and I warn you my play is very erratic, I'm rockythompson.)
