Nintendo Price Scale

I caught myself the other day comparing teacher salaries to the price of cruise missiles. It makes sense on some level, they're both paid for with tax money. I was thinking it would be cool if instead of rating missiles and bombs with things like "200 megaton payload" they'd rate them like "500 teacher salary payload." I doubt that will happen, but it got me thinking about Nintendo. I wanted a Nintendo more than anything as a little kid, but they were prohibitively expensive at $100 for the system. Perhaps it was the convenience of the round number or maybe my obsession with the gaming system, but for years I would compare the cost of everything to Nintendo. I still remember reeling from the idea that a leather jacket at Wilson's in the mall could cost as much as five Nintendo systems.
