I've been following the off season antics of the National Football League, and I don't like it. My hope is that people get really fed up with the situation and revolt. They march on wherever NFL is headquartered and take it back. Or not exactly. What I really want is pro football to become socialized. All these rich guys own the teams and all the fans have to live under the threat of their hometown team being moved to a new state. The fans end up paying for the stadiums through taxes anyway, they should at least get some form of ownership. Part of me shudders at imagining how bureaucratic day-to-day business could get when team ownership shifts from individuals to cities, but it seems to be going okay for Green Bay.
