The Story Ruiner
The first thing the internet ruined was the art of speculation. When you were sitting around trying to remember who the lead singer of Guided by Voice was, you didn't have to think for more than a few seconds. You just looked it up. But now the internet is ruining much more personal things through Facebook. You go somewhere on vacation or hike a famous trail in Yosemite, then you meet up with friends eager to tell them about your latest exploits. But they all already know. Facebook. They saw the photo your friend tagged you in standing at the top of Half Dome, and they don't need to get the background story -- they already saw it (plus photos) on your Wall.
