I saw Malcolm Gladwell biking this morning. It's the second time in two weeks. I did not say hello. Gladwell is known for applying his brand of insight and logic to research. He tells interesting stories that invite his reader to look at things a new way. He is smart, analytical, and clear. So, it was with great relief that I saw him squeeze between two trucks, blow through a red light, and then ride the wrong way down a one-way for half a block. I'm sure he's pondered obeying all traffic laws and dismissed the notion as ludicrous. It's nice to find out people you admire share your conclusions.
