Tax Time

I know two people who haven't filed their taxes in the last several years. It's not out of some ideological stance, it's utter laziness. One of them lost the key to his mailbox so he hasn't even been able to see if the government's tried contacting him about it or if there's a summons for him to appear in court. The thing is that both of these people have their taxes automatically taken out of the checks, and they'd both get big refunds. So while breaking the law they're also managing to cheat themselves out of money. It's a fine, rare example of crime not paying.
