Baby Shower

My wife is hosting a baby shower for her friend today. One of my colleagues asked if it was for men and women, and I told her it was only women. She said something like, "So you have to leave?" To which I of course replied, "More like 'get' to leave." If there's a human being alive who enjoys baby showers I've never met or heard of them. I understand that baby showers are valuable to the soon-to-be parents, but I know those folks hate standing around being super pregnant and opening gifts for three hours while all their soon-to-be-former friends get toasted on mimosas. Sure, getting the stuff is nice but it's not like it's free. You have to endure those hours.
