Banking Hacking

I'm thinking about making the leap to an online bank. A lot of my friends have done so and they really like it. I told my friend that I was concerned that I'd lose all my (hardly any) money if my online bank got hacked, and he pointed out that it wouldn't be any different than if my current bank got hacked. But it would be different, because if their system went down, I'd be able to go to one of their physical locations. There, I would get in line with everyone else in the city, defending my spot from people trying to creep into line and building relationships with the people standing around me as we waited for days on end to find out that we had no access to any money. So it is different, because if some super hacker takes down all the bank networks, at least I won't have to wait in line anywhere.
