Smart Phone Stupidity

For years cell phones were getting smaller and smaller and now they're getting bigger and bigger. Between work, watching TV once in a while, and working on my laptop at home I spend way too much of my time staring at lit-up screens. And now that I have a monstrous smart phone I spend all my downtime waiting for friends at bars or standing outside elevator banks staring at my phone. I was walking down the street the other day on the way to meet some friends and my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and read the text saying our meetup was off, and I stopping dead in my tracks. There had been a guy walking right behind me who plowed into me a moment after I stopped. I was about to apologize for being an idiot in the middle of the street looking at my phone, but when I turned around I found he'd been staring at his phone as well. It's a good thing neither of us were in cars.
