Russian Space Program

It's a bit depressing that NASA's shuttle program has been shutdown, but I'll get over it. It's not like I was next in line to get a ride on the space shuttle or anything. Though I have to say it's a bit odd that we're now in a position where we're relying on the Russians to give us rides into space. I got a ride home from work today with two Russians and that topic came up. It was a pleasant ride, and we talked about the Russian space program, of which I know nothing. I was very grateful for the ride and told them so several times, and I was also happy to learn about the Russian space program. Mine was just a ride across town. I can't imagine how much the U.S. astronauts who catch rides into space with the Russians have to talk about Russian stuff.
