Customs Problems

I had a quick one-hour flight from a small airport in Mexico to Los Angeles to connect for a much longer flight. I saw it was one of those tiny prop planes and told my friends how much I hate those planes because they're so slow, noisy, and crash all the time. The guy next to me, who I didn't know, picked up a jumbo bag of beef jerky for the flight, and shortly after takeoff they handed out our customs forms, which say you're forbidden to bring food and meat products into the country. My flight was made so much more enjoyable by watching this guy try to stomach his entire bag of dried beef before we landed. He did it, though I was a bit disappointed he didn't ask me for any help.
