The Race Results Are In

During high school I was a terrible mountain bike racer. I'm not anymore. Not because I trained a lot and worked hard, I just don't race mountain bikes anymore. I remember once checking my results, they were posted just after the race, taped on the side of the race organizer's trailer. Earlier I'd been telling my friend about the really old long-haired guy we saw at every race. I'd seen him crash, but I guess he was okay because we saw him by the race results. We chatted for a moment and he asked what place I'd gotten. I consulted the results and told him. "Well, looks like I beat you this time," he said while bent over looking at his own time. I think the old guy thought my friend was having some kind of medical episode but he was just laughing really, really hard.
